What to do & why
A 4+1 formation keeps four heroes of one type and adds an off-type hero, often to improve the frontline or matchup. It is a tradeoff to test, not a universal upgrade over a five-type squad.
- Preserve the damage and support core you have already developed; test the substituted defender before rebuilding three complete squads.
- Order squads around the enemy lineups you repeatedly meet. There is no permanently correct Missile → Tank → Aircraft sequence.
- Review comparable reports and change one lineup decision at a time. Track a sample of defenses instead of reacting to one loss.
The details behind the decision
The official wiki’s baseline bonuses are +15% for four matching heroes and +20% for five. That is a five-percentage-point difference in listed stat bonus; it is not proof of a 5% final-damage loss.

What is confirmed—and what isn’t
The official wiki is a player-contributed lineup reference. Specific hero recommendations and seasonal Tactics Card interactions are strategy, not certified best builds.
