Exclusive-weapon budgeting has two distinct parts: activating the weapon and paying for the upgrades after it is unlocked.

- Use the exact hero’s activation screen to confirm star and named-shard requirements.
- Choose your target milestone first and sum the upgrade costs required from your current level.
- Reserve universal upgrade shards for weapons you intend to develop; do not assume they substitute for the named activation shards.
The details behind the decision
Required upgrade shards = sum of the costs of each level transition. Keep named activation shards in a separate line item to avoid double counting.

What is confirmed—and what isn’t
The official-hosted Kimberly and DVA guides each specify five stars and 50 named shards to activate. They do not verify the archive’s 1,080 / 1,750 / 2,830 upgrade totals, which are withheld pending a current cost screen.
Strategy recommendations are GOD of War’s editorial advice. Official-wiki hosting does not turn player-contributed advice into a developer guarantee. When a number is not supported, this edition omits it rather than inventing a value.
